How do we diagnose?
Apart from clinical features the definitive test for sleep apnea is Polysomnography or sleep lab studies. The patient would be connected to multiple sensor which would monitor and record the airflow at nose and mouth, intensity of snoring, oxygen saturation check body position, movements of chest and abdomen.

These are suffice for diagnosing OSA. Further channels including EEG, EOG, Chin EMG are optional to diagnose other less common sleep disorders.
